Decades of teaching experience: as you may have already read, I have more than 20 years of educational experience behind me, which I gained mainly in the field of adult education.
Microsoft Office - both as a teacher and as an expert: during the last decades I have managed to learn a lot about Microsoft Office, especially Excel, the functions and the possibilities of this software.
Punctuality: I always strive for accuracy during my work, I try to meet deadlines and serve the needs of clients and employers as best as possible.
Outstanding work ethic: I never look at the clock to see when the working hours end, I rather focus on completing the task.
Analitical mind: in case of repairs, I am not satisfied with the mere correction of errors, but always try to uncover their cause, so that they do not happen again. This is especially important for hardware.
Critical thinking: I rarely settle for a solution without examining several options to see if I can get an easier, faster, simpler result by another route.
System approaching: during problem solving, I always try to think in a systematic way, observe the overall picture and think about how the different elements of the task affect each other.
Exceptional attention to details - especially in programming: I always try to anticipate and avoid pitfalls. During implementation, not "programmer-friendly" but user-friendly solutions lead my way.
Fast learning of required technologies: I enjoy learning new technologies. I come from the generation that often learned programming languages and data structures on paper (we still programmed 8-bit computers in assembly), which means I can effectively integrate new technologies and new knowledge into my existing knowledge.
Hardware and maintenance experience: despite of my decades of experience, I always try to prepare in advance, I always try to look for the appropriate methods when I deal with an unknown hardware. During troubleshooting, I am not satisfied only with repairing, I always try to uncover the cause of errors.
Weak-current network building (SOHO): at one of my previous jobs, we built computer networks from scratch, including cabling and configuring devices. As a system administrator, I had to expand the existing network many times. I can say that the crimping tool is one of my best friends.
HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, SQL: this website shows that I get along easily with Internet technologies. Furthermore I learnt the basics of database management in the 90s, in Clipper.
Independent problem solving: I can work in a team, but I can also do my job efficiently on my own. Moreover, in many cases, I am more effective when I solve the problem independently, in the knowledge of the task and the deadline.
